History

A C19 gateway.

Exterior

Gate piers are of coursed rock-faced stone, with wider freestone copings. Outer responds against the rubble-stone boundary wall are similar. Double arched cast iron gates have dog bars with X-shape bracing, spear finials and rosettes below the top rail. Outer pedestrian gates have similar detail but with a flat top rail.
