History

Built in the second half of the C19 and first shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.

Exterior

House of snecked rock-faced grey stone with red-sandstone tooled dressings, slate roof on projecting eaves, and roughcast stack to the R. 2 storeys and attic, 2-window range. Openings are offset to the L. The entrance on the L side has a panel door and overlight. Windows are 12-pane horned sashes.
The gable ends are pebble-dashed. The L gable end, which has a small attic window, is continuous with a rear outshut, which has 4-pane and 8-pane sash windows to the 1st floor and small-pane window below. To the rear is a 1st-floor 12-pane sash window in the main range on the L side of the outshut.
