Exterior

Elegant single-span bridge built in 1841 for the Venerable Hugh Chambres Jones, Archdeacon of Essex. Of snecked, dressed stone with wide depressed arch; brick soffit and brick-on-edge voussoirs in 4 oversailing courses, giving a strong decorative effect. Plain string course at springing and splayed approaches; parapet rises gently to centre and has ashlar coping.
