Part of an early C19 block of 3 houses on High Street and Castle Street shown on the 1834 town plan. No 20 was converted to commercial use later in the C19 and was a grocer's shop in 1895.
Listed for its retention of simple late Georgian character representing the early use of brick in Caernarfon town houses, and for its contribution to the historic integrity of the walled town.
