History

Built in 1816; disused by 1960’s and subsequently used as a workshop/warehouse.

Exterior

Local rubble with slate roof. An example of the side wall facade type with entries flanking two central sash windows (without glazing bars) with deep lintels. The right hand doorway is boarded up, that to left has a boarded door. Cement rendered left gable end and 2-windows to right gable end, including one 12-pane pivot window. 2 windows to centre to North Street elevation.

Triangular rubble walled churchyard with some mid C19 slate monuments.

Interior

The rectangular interior has open king post roof with diagonal struts. Raked gallery on 3-sides with panelled front (splayed across angles) and timber pillars. Said to retain a total immersion baptistery. Stairs to gallery at either end.

Reasons for Listing

Group value with the terrace on SW side of Llawr Gors.
