The outbuilding is probably late C18 or early C19, and the wall in its present form C19. There were formerly outbuildings against the wall, and at right angles to N. Modern hotel bedrooms have been built behind the wall.
Stone wall with crenellations, stepped buttresses and loops. At N end, a stone outbuilding with slate roof.
