Exterior

C18 Picturesque 2-storey and basement rubble structure, one of 3 in the town but (unlike the heavily renovated examples at Pen y Dre and Greenhill) this is as built and is taller. It would have been a convenient look-out tower for the Bear Hotel to watch for the arrival of the coaches. Pyramidal stone tiled roof, overhanging eaves; voussoirs to pointed openings, windows to 3 sides, boarded door to SE side. Perpendicular style blind tracery timber panels above boarded windows.

Upper floor reached by outside rubble steps; renewed copings to garden walls.
