History

The house was built c1840, but possibly incorporates an earlier building (the brickwork in the gable end looks earlier than that of the main facade).

Exterior

Brick with slate roof, gable end stacks. 2 storeys, 3 window range with slightly advanced central bay; short rear wing. Doorway to centre in moulded architrave with entablature hood flanked by 12-pane sash windows with flat arched heads. Similar windows to first floor, the central window space blind.

Reasons for Listing

The house is a typical example of an early C19 small urban house, which retains much of its original character.
