Exterior

Probably contemporary with the houses, c1820. Cast iron, with railings in 2 tiers, each with finial: leaf finials to No 38, the rest pierced javelins. Each house has a similarly detailed gate (that to No 41 a replacement).

Forms an important part of the context of the terrace, and represents a good example of the decorative iron-work which is so prominent a feature of the townscape on Salop Road.
