History

Main part c1836 (date etched on window by glazier) possibly a rebuilding.

Exterior

Two storeys, red brick, slate roof, central ridge stack and projecting end stack. Regular window arrangement, twelve-pane sashes under flat voussoir heads. Modern enclosed porch. Lower wing projects from right-hand front, in rubble stone with brick upper to end stack, probably a contemporary service wing but may be part of an earlier dwelling. No internal inspection possible but appears to retain period interior details.

Reasons for Listing

An interesting brick farmhouse of early C19 date in upland location.
