Designed by J P Seddon and begun after June 1868; built by Thomas Williams of Cardiff and completed by March 1871.
Asymmetrical front formed from the combination of two properties; 4-storey and basement 3-window snecked rubble front with freestone banding to left; broader than but similar to those on the adjoining terrace; taller 4-storey and attic 2-window painted brickwork front to right in similar style to Victoria House. Slate roofs and cement rendered chimney stack; dentil cornice to left, machicolated cornice to right. Sash windows without glazing bars; stilted head to grouped third floor windows; 3-storey splayed bay windows with colonettes. Later splayed rubble porch to centre with arched headed windows flanking arched entrance. Tall pitched roof dormers to right with lancet windows; mostly paired lancets below and 3-storey splayed bay to left with attached colonettes and cast-iron Gothic traceried parapet. Gabled hood to porch with muscular Gothic corbels and modern doors.
