History

Built 1880, part of the Bridgend and Cowbridge union. Arts and Crafts.

Exterior

Single-unit asymmetrical 2-storey bull-nosed rubble 3-window front with outer 1st floor windows rising through overhanging eaves with dormer type roofs. Tall hipped tiled roof with ridge cresting and finials, brick capped rubble chimney stacks. Plinth and freestone window dressings. Central 2-storey and attic bay advanced and gable ended; flanking cross roofs, gabled to right, hipped to left. Mainly paired sash windows. Lean-to porch to return angle of central bay. Half hipped right end, cross gable to left end; similar detail at rear with low central extension.

In poor condition at time of inspection (April 1986).
