Early to mid C19 terraced front to same eaves level as No 19, but three floors instead of four. Occupied by Cash & Co boots and shoes, for much of C20. Old photographs show two hipped dormers.
Terraced house and shop, painted stucco with slate close-eaved roof and brick end stacks. Three storeys
three bays. C20 horned 8-pane sashes to upper floors in raised shouldered plain surrounds. Mid C20 shop front with house door recessed to right. plate glass shop windows with top lights, canted sided into recessed shop door. Deep fascia with brackets. C19 four-panel house door. Big rear wing built back towards rock-face with outside steps over brick arch to door at upper level in gable end.
Interior stripped out, the original stair at right angles to front remains at upper level, but boxed in and probably without balustrades. Large rear wing all altered as bed-sittingrooms.
Included for special architectural interest as a terraced late Georgian style front of group value.
