History

Building with later C19 front to early C19 core; traces of earlier building with sash windows with glazing bars intact visible from passageway by the George's Inn. Premises of C. C. Saies, draper in the earlier to mid C20. Restored c. 2005.

Exterior

Terraced house, painted stucco with slate close-eaved roof and chimney to right. Three storeys, two bays with two-storey late C19 canted oriel window to upper floors to left and 4-pane sash window to each upper floor to right. Oriel has turned angle columns, 2-4-2-pane windows and top cornice. C20 eaves board. Ground floor has plain square-headed entry to throughway to right and shopfront to left. Shop front has deeply-recessed entry with half-glazed door and overlight, plate-glass to each side of recess and to front. Casing of thin pilasters and fascia, renewed in C21.
