History

Terraced row of mid C19 houses in late Georgian style derived from Aberaeron.

Exterior

Row of three C19 houses. Stuccoed and roughcast stone with slate roofs, stone stacks and bracketed eaves. Two storeys, 12-pane sashes and slate sills. Barbara has white-painted rendered 3-window front and central 6-panelled door with overlight. Iron railings and gate on low rubble stone wall. Dolfor and Priory are a mirrored pair of two-window houses, the entrance bays in centre close-spaced. Unpainted roughcast. Dolfor has C20 12-pane windows and 6-panelled door with traceried overlight. Priory has similar 6-panelled door with plain overlight, and hornless 12-pane sashes. Both doors are in double doorcase with plain raised piers, three console brackets and thin shelf top. Row was intended to continue to L. of Barbara, which has left corner jutting masonry.

Reasons for Listing

Included ( not withstanding some altered windows )as a short row of mid C19 late Georgian style houses prominent on the main road on approach to Llanon from N.
