History

Former Vaynol estate cottages built c1864 to replace those of the same name which stood on the other side of Afon Heulyn. These were demolished when the Vaynol estate wall was erected and a new road constructed alongside.

Reasons for Listing

Included as one of a picturesque estate cottage group, gabled in loosely C17 vernacular style. Interesting also for the garden plan reflecting the triple division.
