History

War Memorial statue erected in 1923, carved by Watcyn Jones of Llanybydder, presumably the sculptor of near identical white marble soldiers at Aberbanc, Aberporth, Cribyn, Drefach, Llangeitho and Llanddewi Brefi, Cardiganshire, and Pencader, Carmarthenshire, though some of these are said to be by E.L. Jones of Llanybydder.

Exterior

War memorial, white marble statue of a soldier with rifle to side on tall stone and granite square pedestal. Pedestal has chamfered square base, square plinth with ogee top moulding, battered red granite shaft and big shallow-coved stone capstone. Shaft is inscribed with commemorative inscription to the dead of the First World War and with their names.

A village war memorial of definite quality and character, well set on rising ground.
