Commercial premises with flat over, probably earlier C19 in origin altered in later C19 and C20. Occupied in 2001 by Arch House jewellers.
House and shop, painted stucco with hipped close-eaved roof. Three storeys, 2 bays, with 2 hornless 12-pane sashes to upper floor, 2 later C19 canted oriels to first floor and C20 shopfront. Oriels have 2-4-2-pane sashes with moulded cornices. Ground floor is plain rendered with plate-glass shop windows.
Included as an altered earlier C19 building of group value in the row of buildings up to the Five Arches gate.
