History

Drinking fountain erected in 1900 given by Timothy Davies of Walham Green, London.

Exterior

Drinking fountain in mixed sandstone and granite, roughly 6 ft high, freestanding columnar fountain. Grey granite circular plinth, grey sandstone flared base with 4 brackets under polished grey granite bowl. From bowl rises red granite hollow cylinder with bronze spigot, inscribed in gold letters Cyflwynwyd i'r dref gan Timothy Davies Ysw O.C. 1900 Walham Green". Above is turned red sandstone top with ogee moulded base ringed by stylised trefoils and mushroom top with turned finial and metal vane.

Reasons for Listing

Included as typical late Victorian ornate piece of park furniture. Part of a reletively complete urban park of C1900.
