Circa 1857 in traditional local Georgian style. 2 storeys and basement. 3 window ashlar
villa-type with centre break. Stepped plinth; side piers; draughted ground floor;
band at 1st floor level; cornice, mitred over piers; blocking course with shallow
pediment over central bay. Sash windows with marginal glazing. Central pilastered
doorpiece with cornice, plain doors with rectangular light over. 5 steps, guard
rail to blocked basement area on right. 2 painted scroll panels 1st floor (for
a previous inn sign); cast and wrought iron projecting inn sign bracket. Similar
elevation to west. Door with 4 raised and fielded panels, cast iron railings to
left, some retaining floral finials. 2 storey, 3 window projecting extension to
north.

Nos 1 to 13 (consec), the centre block of the District Hospital and Nos 16 to 29
(consec) form a group.
