HILMARTON COMPTON BASSETT ROAD SU 07 SW 7/249 Rodwell Farmhouse II

Farmhouse, early to mid C19, ashlar-fronted in small blocks, with stone slate eaves roof and rear stacks. Two storeys, three-window range of 16-pane sashes with hoodmoulds, upper windows replaced with C20 plastic coated windows. Centre depressed-arched 8-panel door in enclosed ashlar porch, with pierced quatrefoil parapet and Tudor-arched entry with hoodmould and carved head stops. Squared rubble stone end walls and rear wings, end walls with ground floor canted bay, first floor sash and attic blank panel, rear wings with ridge stack and one-window range of 16-pane sashes. Attached at north east angle is two-storey, two-window range with 16-pane sash each floor to right, door and 12-pane sash above to left.
