Primary School, c1860, red brick with ashlar dressings and
Bridgwater tile roofs. Two parallel ranges, gable-ended to street.
Coped gables, flush quoins and stone mullion windows. Right gable
has 3-light window with hoodmould and cusped head's to lights,
spherical triangular light in apex and thin octagonal tower
attached at south west angle in chequer of brick and stone.
Poynder arms affixed. Dripcourse at two-thirds height, band of
quatrefoil panels at top under ashlar bellstage with thin lancet
each face and lead cap. South side wall gabled projectionn with
west side door. Second range, to left, has gable set back, apex
lancet and similar large 3-light with hoodmould but centre light
stepped up. Similar north side gabled projection with west side
door, now window. Two stacks in valley between ranges. Important
position in view down Church Road.
