Boundary wall to the grounds of the St Edmund Hospital and
Nursing Home (qv) stretching approximately 241 metres along
the east side of Maynewater Lane. C18 and C19. In kidney flint
with random old red brick, apart from one short section
rebuilt in red brick. Rounded brick copings. Divided into
approximately 64 short bays by rudimentary brick pilasters. At
the north end a higher splayed corner facing Westgate is in
knapped flint with white brick dressings and has 2
segmental-arched doorways; the boarded doors have raised
moulded pilaster strips.
