Former Inn, now house. Late C17 with C18 and C19 alterations and
additions, C20 restoration. Coursed rubble with squared dressed
stone to rear staircase tower, some wooden lintels and gabled stone
slate roofs with end stone stacks. Long range of 4 elements set
parallel to road: C17 core cottage to left, C18 main block and
early C19 link to late C19 cottage to right. Central C18 block of
2 storeys and attic, 2 windows, those to attic under gables.
Windows are 2-light small leaded pane casements. Central gabled
porch with pointed-headed entrance and plank door. Ball finial to
apex of porch gable and all other gables in range. Two-light
casement fenestration throughout. Link section has mock medieval
embattled parapet to eaves lines.
