II

Farmhouse. Late C18/early C19. Rendered to front on stone plinth,
remainder in rubble stone, with moulded stone cornice and low
parapet wall, stone slate roof with coped verges, stone end and
ridge stacks with offset. Left hand return rebuilt in brick. Main
front range of 2 storeys with lower pitched parallel rear range
with small central rear gabled wing possibly containing stair,
leading to later large single storey rear wing on left with
concrete tile roof. Four windows, 12-pane sashes to first floor,
one similar narrower to left on ground floor and 2 later canted
bays of 4/12/4-pane sashes flanking central projecting pedimented
stone porch with 2 unfluted columns and rear pilasters and 6-panel
door, top 2 glazed, centre fielded, lower flush. Pediment much
eroded at time of survey (March 1986).
