9/135 Bandstand in Town Gardens
II
Bandstand. Late C19. Cast iron with aluminium sheet and lead
roof. Made by Elmbank Foundry, Glasgow. Octagonal, raised on
podium of four steps. Cast iron columns and balustrade on 4 sides,
later C20 infilling of further 3 sides in wrought iron, to similar
pattern. Large curled external brackets to ground level. Square
clock tower with ball finial.
