Formerly part of the C18 Black Horse Inn (Nos 18 and 22 Winchester Street
qv). 2 storeys painted brick. Gable end old tile roof. Stepped brick eaves
cornice. 2 hipped dormers. 2 windows each flush framed sashes, altered windows
ground floor and plain doors under cambered arches. No lA has segmented brick
relieving arch over ground floor, former carriageway to Inn yard.

Nos 1 and 1A form a group with Nos 18 to 22 (even) Winchester Street.
