Cottage. Dated 1610, and with C19 alterations. Squared, coursed limestone to
ground floor, C19 brick first floor. Right of rear wall all brick. Quoins to
right. Stone slate roof with brick ridge and end stacks on ashlar bases. 2
storeys; 3-window range. 2-unit plan. To centre a C19 plank door with wood
lintel. Part rebuilt in brick to left. To left a 3-light fixed casement in place
of mullioned window. C19 one-light casement to far left with wood lintel. To
right a 4-light mullioned window with hood mould and label stops. To first floor
left a C19 three-light window, gabled above. To first floor centre and right a
C19 two-light window, gabled above. Two C19 rendered brick buttresses support
front wall. Moulded datestone to rear inscribed 'A/1610', Interior: noted as
having chamfered spine beam and joists, 2 large open fireplaces and some stone
flagged floors. Included for group value.
