House. Late C17/Early C18. Coursed and galleted sandstone blocks with orange-red
brick angle quoins and dressings; hipped C20 machine tiled roofs over. Two
storeys and attics over tall plinth with moulded-brick edging. Stacks to left
and right of centre, one on ridge of each rear wing. Plat band over ground floor
and diagonal brick dentils to eaves. Two flat-roofed dormers, five-bay front
below with regular fenestration. Five plate glass sash windows under gauged-
brick heads on the first floor, 4 windows below. Central half-glazed door, the
upper part with round-headed lights, in moulded wood surround and under flat hood
on thin metal brackets. One bay extension set back to right with flat-roofed and
parapeted ground floor projecting. Left hand return front:- Central half-glazed
door, 3 windows above on first floor, two now blocked. Rear - parallel wings at
right angles to front with hipped roofs. Half-hipped and part weatherboarded
addition to front left.
Interior:- Chamfered spine beams to ground-floor rooms. Turned baluster staircase.
