Two houses, the eastern house (Ship House) comprising the western half of a four-bay C18 house (the western half now incorporated into the adjoining Ship Inn NHLE:128376), considerably altered in the mid-C20, with the western house (Red House) dating to the early C19.
Red brick; pantile roof except rear slope of eastern part which is plain tiled. Western part: two storeys; two window range, sashes with glazing bars in flush frames, segmental arch to ground floor; doorway with inset six-panel door, rectangular fanlight, cornice, panelled reveals. Eastern part: two storeys and attic; two window range, two-light casements, one sash window to ground floor; lean-to porch with half-glazed door added 1983; attic enlarged mid C20 by raising the roof and adding two large dormer windows.
