Description

WESTON LONDON ROAD
TM 48 NW
5/51 Barn 50m north north east
- of Weston Hall
GV II
Barn. C16 core, with considerable later rebuilding. Timber-framed and
weatherboarded. The roof is partly thatched and partly clad in corrugated
iron. A somewhat complex and altered structure in 7 bays, apparently in 3
phases, with joins between bays 1-2, and 3-4, counting from the west. Bays 1-
3 are partitioned off and floored over, the structure being concealed on the
ground floor; bay 7 is also partitioned off. There are 3 queen post roof
trusses, not all in the same section; the remainder of the roof is largely
rebuilt. Some good studding with arched corner braces survives in the
westernmost bay. Included for group value.
