Farmhouse. C16-C17, in 3 phases forming L-shape plan. North wing, perhaps
the earliest part, is slightly lower. Timber framed: south wing is plastered
to south and east fronts, north wing is faced in colourwashed brick to east;
both sections are roughcast-rendered to the rear. Plaintiled roof. 2
storeys. South front has 2 windows, mid C20 3-light small-paned casements.
C19 colourwashed brick porch with crowstepped gable and mid C20 standard
panelled door. Gable stack to left with rendered shaft. East front, facing
the road, has a lobby entrance, with good mid C18 doorcase: fluted pilasters,
entablature with enriched frieze of linked lozenges, segmental pediment. Mid
C20 standard panelled door. To left of this doorway, a 6-light ground floor
window and 3-light small-paned upper window, both of mid C20. Above is a
heavy stack with rendered oblong shaft. North wing has 2 windows, small mid
C20 casements, and a gable stack with rendered shaft. Interior. Modernised,
very little of the structure visible. Not fully examined.
