House. Early C19. White brick with a hipped slated roof. 2 storeys. 5-bay
entrance front with 4 pilaster strips; inset sash windows with glazing bars
under flat brick arches. French windows to ground floor. The entrance has a
pair of 3-panel doors behind C20 threequarter-glazed doors; segmental fanlight
with ornamental glazing bars. Roman Doric porch on 2 pairs of fluted columns;
frieze and mutule cornice; panelled soffit. The porch is set on a 3-stepped
stone base. Above the porch are French windows, set within a broad segmental-
headed recess. 3-bay garden front in matching style. To the right a lean-to
conservatory; to the left a doorway with fluted pilasters and entablature,
glazed door and tall rectangular fanlight with intricate glazing bars;
panelled reveals. The entrance hall has a mutule cornice. Both main ground
floor rooms have enriched cornices, one with a central rosette.
