II

Cottage. C17 and C19. Timber framed with colourwashed brick
noggings, north front of brick and west gable of stone. Thatched
roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays with narrow bay at west end,
probably originally lobby entry form, entrance now in west bay
behind external baffle, carrying thatched porch. Framing 3 panels
high with corner braces and jowled posts. Canted oriel windows
with tiled roofs and diamond leading. Front elevation has gable
over living room with similar oriel window to first floor. Roof
half-hipped at ends and over gable. Shaped brick stack.
Interior has timber framed partition between left bay and living
room and chamfered spine beams.
