House
II
Stables, now classrooms, 1734-40. Brick with slate roofs. Square
with central open courtyard and narrow opening to north. Elevation
towards house has central block and arcaded brickwork to end blocks,
the upper part of arcades glazed with lunette windows. Centre of
east side has huge oval window with web-like glazing bars. Internal
elevations also arcaded bays, 9 x 6 with central pediment facing
entrance. Some inferior alterations in 1970's.
