47 High Street was Millidge's Chemist shop, owned by C E Fry until he retired in December 1973 and sold the property. Later, the shop front was replaced in the original style and the ground floor lowered to eliminate the step at the front door. The shop has been occupied by several businesses but is currently vacant (February 2024).
