House. C16 central range, with C17 cross-wings, date of 1682 to central
cross-gable; late C19 and early C20 alterations. Red brick tb left and to ground
floor centre. Close-studded timber-framing with brick infill to first floor
centre and to 2-storey porch at right of centre; small timber-framing with brick
infill to right; complex old plain-tile roof; various brick stacks, mostly
rebuilt late C20. 2-storey, 7-window range. Ribbed and studded door to porch at
right of centre. Irregular fenestration of casements. Wood oriel window to first
floor of porch. Garden front to rear: brick to ground floor; square
timber-framing with brick infill to first floor left and to first floor right of
centre; C19 close-studded timber-framing to centre. C19 fenestration. Interior:
straight-flight staircase from ground to first floors brought in from house in
Solihull, dated 1665, with carved balustrade. Brought-in panelling to some
ground floor rooms. Tudor-arched stone fireplaces to some ground floor rooms.
