II
Farmhouse, now house. C16, and c1700. Rendered, with thatched
roof. Two storeys, 3 bays, returning by 2 bays on right. Entrance
lateral to central bay, and C20 porch. Timber casement windows,
paned to first floor. Major stack in right bay and second stack on
rear wall of lift bay. Rear wing of later date, has lateral stack.
Roof hipped.
Interior: Centre room on upper floor has tie-beam at low level,
perhaps a survival of cruck construction, and remains of stencilled
decoration of flowers and leaves, c1700, now partly obscured.
Chamfered spine beam with scoop stops on ground floor. Roof has
remains of wattle and daub chimney or narrow smoke bay at right end
of building. e
