Mid-late C18 house. Rendered brick with stone quoins (of East gable end). 2 storeys and attic. Coved cornice to eaves with astragal below. Tiled roof with gable end chimneys. 2 hipped dormers with 2 light glazing bar casements. 3 windows on 1st floor, outer ones with 2 lights, all with moulded frames, mullions and late sashes. Ground floor spoiled by large shop windows flanking central recessed entrance; traces of chamfered drip at 1st floor level. Interior: Late staircase with turned balusters. Small hipped extension to right of East gable (No 22) with entrance having cut stone brackets to moulded flat hood; glazing bar sash window with flush moulded frame over, pantile roof. Further, later, extension to North with 2 wall chimneys. Late C19 gabled extension to left, also with 2 light stone mullion window on 1st floor; 3 window return to Edward Street. Railings on dwarf wall between East gable and No 20; double gates to yard and gate to garden path are mid C19 cast iron with floral topped rails and dog rails.
