C16-C17 altered. 2 storeys rubble house/cottage with rendered brick front
grooved as ashlar. 1st floor timber framed [of extension at rear of No 48
Edward Street]. Pantile roof with chimney to left, half hipped to right (the
hip being stone tiled). Corner pier to right hand side. 2 ranges of windows,
plate glass sashes with flush moulded frames on ground floor, 2 light glazing
bar casement on 1st floor to left and 2 small casement lights on 1st floor
to right. Half glazed door centre of ground floor. North gable end timber
framed, partly brick and partly wattle and daub infil. Double purlin roof
possibly with wind braces [cf timber framed extension to South of 4 bays,
now derelict with jointed cruck-type trusses and wind braces].
