House. Probably late C15-C16 with later alterations including subdivision into
2 cottages, now restored to one dwelling. C20 rear extension not of special
interest. Timber-framed, rendered, and part underbuilt in brick. Plain tile
roof, red brick stack. Single-storey and attic. Overgrown door to left, present
entrance to left gable end. 2 casement windows and one small central window below
eaves. Gabled dormers with casements. Swept roof. Off-centre ridge stack. Left
end underbuilt in brick with C20 bay window. Interior: jowled posts and studded
walls. Shutter groove and mortices for diamond mullions. Inglenook with cham-
fered brick jambs and chamfered timber bressummer. Smoke-blackened coupled rafter
roof visible in part only.
