No. 2 is a C16 timber-framed one-bay cottage with rendering infill panels, steeply
pitched machine-tile roof with gabled ends, one storey and attic, one-window range,
modern casements, dormer at eaves level with catslide roof, and a modern wing at the
rear. Interior, stepped chamfer ceiling beam and a timber framed smoke hood.
The Shiel adjoining to north is an C18 painted stone rubble range, said originally
to have been an outhouse, asbestos tile roof with gabled ends, one storey and attic,
2-window range, small casements, two flat-roofed dormers, one with old metal frame
casement with leaded panes. Brick ridge and end stacks.
