Terrace house. 1798-1801, altered later C19. Rendered and painted
brick with slate roof. Four storeys and basement, with rusticated ground
floor, rusticated quoins, plat band to 2nd floor and cornice to 3rd
floor, with doubled end pilasters on 3rd floor, and rendered pilastered
centre piece. Bracketted frieze with cornice to swept parapet with 4
piers. Four sashes on 3rd floor all with moulded and keyed surrounds,
the inner sashes narrower. Two sashes with moulded and gauged surrounds
on 2nd floor with central tripartite sash. Two sashes on 1st floor
with glazed central door, with glazed verandah, originally with elliptical
arcade of similar design to Nos. 4 and 5 Nelson Crescent. Two sashes
on ground floor, and panelled door to right with rectangular fanlight and
sidelights at head of flight of 5 moulded marble steps. Two sashes with
vertical glazing bars to basement. Spear head rails with acorn-finial
principals.
