Originally a cottage belonging to the adjacent farm, the building dates from 1668, as the date-stone confirms. It is thought that when it was built the ground floor housed animals and the living quarters in the loft were reached via a ladder. Now the ground floor has a large lounge diner with the main original oak beam running across. There is a small inglenook at the north end with a kitchen at the south end. On the first floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom.
