Pair of cottages. Late C17, altered C20. Coursed squared limestone and
ironstone, corrugated iron roof, brick ridge and end stacks. 2-unit plans.
2-storey, 3-window range. C20 doors with wood lintels. Old 2-light casement
windows to ground and half-dormers, those to ground floor with wood lintels.
No.18 has blocked window to far left with double-chamfered stone surround. No.16
has C20 single-storey extension to far right and C20 porch. Eaves raised in
brick following removal of thatch. Interior: No.18 has lobby-entry plan,
chamfered spine beam and open fireplace with chamfered bressumer.
