Roker monument, approx 2
metres south of south-west

Chest tomb. c.1816. Ashlar. In Neo-Classical style. Roll-moulded plinth on
stone base. Recessed corners having fluted balusters with swept plinths and
capitals, supporting lid with triple roll-moulded edge. Each side has fluted-
edged oval panel and fan-decorated spandrels, south panel bearing commemorative
inscription to Jane, daughter of John and Mary Roker, d.1816, and another
daughter, Elizabeth, d.1829(?). Inscription faded; lid cracked and broken into
several pieces.
