Slate headstone, decorated with flowers. In the head, in a heart shape, a relief carved urn with snakes, a cross and anchor. A banner -In hopes of a joyfull resurrection thro Christ-. To Joseph Thompson d. 3rd Jun 1784 in his 32nd year. -Farewel my Brothers and my Sisters too/ Friends and Companions take this last adieu/ I in the bloom of life from you was torn/ To pay the debt of nature man was born/ To meet again once more I hope we may/ In the bright regions of eterrnal day-.
