House, now subdivided. Probably C17, altered late C18/early C19. Limestone
rubble with wooden lintels and sole brick dressings; thatch roof with brick end
stacks. L-plan, 2 storeys. 3-window front has a doorway to left of centre,
between enlarged windows with horizontal-sliding sashes, and has a 3-light
casement to extreme right; first-floor has 3 enlarged 3-light casements with
brick jambs. Right gable wall has a partly-blocked casement with a heavy
chamfered lintel and returns to a short slightly-later rear wing with further
casements. Rear wing has a shallow stair projection. Interior: chamfered beams;
spiral stair. Right bay of main range and rear wing now form "cornerways".
