House pair, now house and shop. Late C18 or early C19. Timber framed,
weatherboarded, with plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Wooden eaves cornice
of small Ionic modillions. Gabled. Gable end stack to left and rear
stack to left of centre. Small 2-light flat-roofed dormer. Irregular
fenestration of 3 sashes; two 4-pane and one 12-pane. 2 panelled doors
with flat bracketed hoods; one to right of centre & one to right of
centre. Interior not inspected. Formerly known as Chestnut Cottage and
the Singing Kettle. Included for group value.
