(With Nos 1 and 2 ORIEL STREET). House and shop. Probably one building.
RCHM 66. Built between 1713 and 1738 by William Ives, apothecary, but has
been altered. 3 or 4-storeyed stuccoed timber-framing with cellars. North
elevation. East range is of 3 storeys and has in the lst floor a (possibly
altered) 3-light sash window 2 Corinthian pilasters and a moulded entablature.
The 2nd floor has a 3-light sash window in a moulded frame
above which is a pediment, the cornice of which is bracketed. The West range
iO of 4 storeys;in the lst and 2nd floors is a 3-light sash window in a moulded
frame with an architrave; there is a bold projecting modillioned eaves cornice
above which is a wood balcony; the top floor has two sash windows. The East
elevation (Nos 1 and 2 Oriel Street) is 3-storeyed stuccoed timber-framing.
In the lst floor are 2 sash windows with cornices, 2 plain sash windows
and a 3-light sash window, all of which appear to be Cl8. There is a modern
shop front to the ground floor. History. For leases and tenants and the
